Chen Yongzhi (1931) is from Shuangcheng, Heilongjiang Province. After his graduation from the Lu Xun Art Academy, he worked at the Northeast Illustrated (Dongbei huabao, 东北画报), the Heilongjiang Daily (Heilongjiang ribao, 黑龙江日报) and the Shuangyashan Daily (Shuangyashan ribao, 双鸭山日报). Chen is known for his serial cartoons and New Year prints.
